kurz-konzertbericht: kashmir (o6.11.o3, batschkapp, ffm)

appleseed cast - two conversation [album lyrics]

HELLO DEAREST LOVE
Welcome home, her eyes know the stains you made, the plans you laid your love it means so much, a simple ring and fingers touch and break away. Your smile fades and light shines through, blinding truth that hits too soon to ignore. But she’s not here standing clean in front of you, it’s just a dream. Times up she’s gone away, you had your time but it wont’s stay, not this time. And soon enough you’ll kill them all, every chance to break your fall. You’re giving in. but she’s the one bright as the sun, stops you there right on the stairs, and falling back, white stars on black, and stripes on fire.

HANGING MARIONETTE And stripes on fire, these hands are tired. I’m making plans to drink away all these words I can’t escape. I have to try to make you stay. Because I’m alone, stay with me this time. Because what I’m feeling inside, I’m troubled or maybe I’m blind, but I just can’t see how this is helping me. The stars are burning bright like the light that lights your eyes. Why couldn’t I see that you were leaving? Because I’m alone, I need someone to be my friend. But I can’t take anyone who can’t stay until the end. And the stars are burning bright, the smoke is rising high, the stripes are on the street, from the mountain to the sea. Because friend you’ve done me wrong, left the spoils to the strong and preyed upon the weak, there’s an end to you and me. Because a friend can understand that there’s no trust to be had. You’re just bouncing on your strings, a puppet on a screen. I’m not sure when you left, but it started with that theft, it seems it’s been so long. ICE HEAVY BRANCHES It’s all in the air, it covers everything, now it’s coming down, now it’s on the brink… it turns the trees to diamond things, but it weighs too much, breaks everything… we could both be naked now and innocent. It breaks everything. Everything breaks under all it’s weight, and it’s covered us. We could strip it off. We could both be naked now and innocent. It breaks everything. LOSING TOUCHING SEARCHING There’s no sign, there’s no chance we’ll get there on time. We couldn’t find the place that night. We were lost and stuck together. We were lost with ourselves, and we were lost with each other. Where’s this place we need to be? Where’s this place we need see? There’s no sign, there’s no chance we’ll get there on time. If we could have found another place, to see ourselves and crack the code we could have made it then you know, but there’s no signs on that road. Caught in this place we know, with no signs of letting go, you’re heart is just another road, another place that I can’t go, so we sit and contiplate, the world’s become a big mistake, and here we are in the middle, trying to work out this riddle. FIGHT SONG And there on the stairs, standing there arm outstretched point and glare watching the love fall to our feet into the floor to disappear. We’re finding fault, you kissed her or you slept with him or you didn’t care… well it all breaks, disintegrates. Well this is the last thing I’ll take because I can’t face you now. This is the end, there’s nothing to keep. This is the end of you and me. As the ice comes down it’s the end, as the lies come out it’s the end, as the tears flow out it’s the end. The end of you and me, so we’ll look out on the lake and we see the white light. It should have been gold. I said it was gold. Then maybe all the crazy things you said would have some meaning, but this thing we have made it won’t stop, it can’t stop… and I can’t face you now. Take your troubles solo, this is the end of you and me. SINKING I get the feeling that I’m sinking in you. Your hands go through me as I’m trying to think back on a better time. Like watching water in a rising tide. You’d not know me right now, you’d think that I was a man wanting to drown. Shaking words in my fists, pointing to all of the things that I won’t resist. Pouring out my heart and pouring one more drink to keep it calm. Because I think I’ve hit the brink and this is all I can take, to keep going on. THE PAGE I’m tired of waiting in this hollow state, pushing aside things I want to say. It’s taking my all to get out of bed. I’m pouring a drink to feel myself dead. The page is blank my pen is down, I’m working it out. It’s been a while I’ve had something to say but my page is blank, my pen is down, I’m working it out. There’s this feeling inside that’s coming out, my page is blank my pen is down, I’m working it out. Put the pen to the paper, but it wouldn’t move. My page is blank, my pen is down, I’m working it out. INNOCENT VIGILANT ORDINARY “Oh no” I said I think about the times, the way you smiled at me, the way we always kissed. And how we drank the sun and killed the night and fought the sleep and won. And how we left it all unmade. “ It was only once.” “No it’s was more than one.” “No it was only one” “No there was more than one.” “You’re the only one.” “It’s good to see that you are doing well, and well enough to be, laughing here with me. Because what we did, there’s no excuse for it, you know I loved you so, and it hurts to know what I did.” I want you to know that I’ll always love you and always be your friend, and I’ll never leave again. What’s past is past us now, and we can move ahead, I hope this letter gets read. HOW LIFE CAN TURN Out there in the yard now playing with their dad. I’m amazed at how alike you are. See now the strangeness because I feel so many things all at once, it’s wonderful to see. The smiles are everywhere, the cold’s gone from the air the sun shines as they play my smile wont wipe away. They’re laughing at you, everything that you do. You open your arms to them, they run in to tackle you… it’s so good to see you now, and times been good to you, it just so amazing, your smile is shining through. Amazing how life can turn one day to the next you know. I’ll figure out where I am and figure which way to go. A DREAM FOR US What I feel inside, I don’t want to hide, is that you got to me. It’s what I want to see because I’ve got a dream for us running through my mind, sitting on the beach looking at the sea. And we are old and tired, but time has made us smile, as we look at the things, the people and the place. And we’re not the only ones, there’s hundreds on the shore looking at the sea… but it’s just you and me. If the day never comes and I sink beneath the tide, will you still be with me and disappear?

muss sie nachher nochmal 'schön' machen :-)

polarlight
